Kuwait’s gold consumption slightly up in 2001

The World Gold Council reported that gold consumption in the State of Kuwait totaled 30 tons in 2001 compared with 29 tons in the previous year of 2000, reported Al-Hayat . These figures translate into a slight rise of one percent. The local demand for gold was expected to remain low all year long, however, it grew by 19 percent in the last quarter of 2001. — (menareport.com)
