A recently published economic report reveals that the Kuwaiti industrial sector reached a net income of six billion Kuwaiti Dinars ($20 billion) in 2001, 58 percent of the country’s total product value, reported Al-Bayan. The contribution of the local oil and gas sector totaled KD 5.6 billion, which is equivalent to 95 percent of the industrial sector’s profits in 2000. — (menareport.com)
