Kuwait Airways will impose a smoking ban on all flights from the start of April, the airline's chairman Ahmad Al-Zabin announced Sunday, March 11.
Zabin told a press conference that the measure was in line with "international recommendations" from the World Health Organization and the International Labor Organization.
Kuwait Airways slapped a partial smoking ban in November on flights less than two hours long and the experiment has "proven very successful," Zabin said.
Other Gulf Arab carriers have also imposed smoking bans on some domestic or regional flights. — (AFP, Kuwait City)
