Kuwait is Egypt's second largest investor

Recently published statistics by the Egyptian General Authority for Investment and Free Zones show that Kuwait occupies second place, after Saudi Arabia, in terms of investment size in Egypt among the Arab nations, reported Al-Sharq Al-Awsat .  

 

Kuwaitis hold shares in 201 Egyptian companies with a total capital of 8.15 billion Egyptian Pounds ($180 million), of which EP 3.62 billion is Kuwaiti capital. The total investment cost of Kuwaiti-Egyptian jointly owned companies based in Egypt is assessed at EP 12.26 billion.
