Kuwait investments in Syria

Kuwait's investments in Syria, comprising of 19 projects costing US$ 541 million, place the country in the third place after Turkey and Saudi Arabia, said Syrian economic attache in Kuwait Dr. Yousif Al-Shoum.

 

Speaking to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), he said that these investments were mostly in the industrial sector, as well as in the agriculture and tourism sectors. Regarding trade exchange between the two countries, Al-Shoum said that this had risen after the implementation of the Arab Free Trade Agreement and hit a volume of USD 110 million.
