Kuwait's largest contracting company said Wednesday that it was establishing a nonprofit firm to rebuild the southern suburbs of the Lebanese capital. In a full-page ad in the Al-Rai Al-Aam daily, the Al-Kharafi Group called on other Arab firms and investors to join the efforts.
The ad did not give the amount of capital the Al-Kharafi Group hoped to mobilize to start the firm, the AP added. The conglomerate is one of the largest contracting companies in the Arab world.
