An online platform to lodge labor complaints has been made available in English, a senior official from the Ministry of Manpower said.

In June, Times of Oman first reported that Omani and expat workers in Muscat can submit labour complaints against their employers online to the Ministry of Manpower (MoM).

In June, the web portal was launched on a trial basis but until yesterday it was available only in Arabic.

In June, a senior official at the MoM said an English language facility will also be made available soon and workers in Sohar and Salalah will also be able to submit their claims during the next phase of expansion.

According to the ministry’s Facebook page post, since the launch on trial basis, so far, 512 complaints have been registered online.
