The total value of land transactions in Dubai last week peaked at Dhs256.90 millions , of which sales exceeded Dhs124 million. The total value of mortgages during the period was Dhs132.63 million, according to the Land Department.
A total of 24 sale transactions were registered with the Department by the end of the week, the most valuable of which was a plot in Emirates Hills Second that was sold for Dhs24 million. The next two most prominent sales saw a second plot in Al Barsha First acquired for the sum ofDhs13.66442 million and another in Mardaf for Dhs12.66419 million.
The Mardaf area was the most active in terms of the week's sales, with some 4 transactions. Al Rashidiya followed it with 3 sales.
During the period, Emirates Hills Second recorded the highest turnover by value, at Dhs33 million, followed by the Mardaf area, Dhs29.55 million, and Al Barsha First area, Dhs13.66 million.
The biggest area sold was the 544463 sq ft in the Al Aweer Second area, which went for Dhs10.89 million. A 183600 sq ft plot in the Wadi Al Amardi Area was acquired for Dhs7.45 million, while 180917 sq ft of Mardaf was disposed of for Dhs12.66 million.
During the period under review 16 mortgages worth Dhs114.61 million were registered, the most significant of which as the Dhs53.9 million for an area at Mankhool. There was another for Dhs20.7 million on an area in Al Nahda Second and a further sum of Dhs12 million registered on an area of land sold in Al Satwa.
