The total value of land transactions in Dubai last week peaked at Dhs757.94 millions of which sales exceeded Dhs186 million. The total value of mortgages during the period was Dhs572.27 million, according to the Land Department.
A total of 36 sale transactions were registered with the Department by the end of the week, the most valuable of which was a plot in Marsa Dubai that was sold for Dhs31.31955 million. The next two most prominent sales saw a second plot in Emirates Hills Second acquired for the sum of Dhs21.278028 million and another in Al Barsha First for Dhs15.0792 million.
The Emirates Hills First area was the most active in terms of the week's sales, with some 15 transactions. Mirdif followed it with 6 sales.
During the period, Emirates Hills First recorded the highest turnover by value, at Dhs32.52 million, followed by the Marsa Dubai area, Dhs31.32 million, and Mirdif area, Dhs30.37 million.
The biggest area sold was the 59105.6 sq ft in the Emirates Hills Second area, which went for Dhs21.28 million. A 53222.06 sq ft plot in the Nad Al Shiba Area was acquired for Dhs13.31 million, while 50000 sq ft of Jabal Ali Industrial was disposed of for Dhs9.5 million.
During the period under review 121 mortgages worth Dhs387.96 million were registered, the most significant of which as the Dhs150 million for an area at Emirates Hills Second. There was another for Dhs80 million on an area in Um Hurair Second.
