The total value of land transactions in Dubai last week amounted to Dhs403.15 millions million, of which sales exceeded Dhs222 million. The total value of mortgages during the period was Dhs181.11 million, according to the Land Department.
A total of 37 sale transactions were registered with the Department by the end of the week, the most valuable of which was a plot in Jabal Ali Industrial that was sold for Dhs70 million. The next two most prominent sales saw a second plot in Al Ras acquired for the sum of Dhs36.875487 million and another in Al Suq Al Kabeer for Dhs19 million
The Al Barsha Third area was the most active in terms of the week's sales, with some 4 transactions. Abu Hail followed it with 3 sales.
During the period, Jabal Ali Industrial recorded the highest turnover by value, at Dhs70 million, followed by the Al Ras area, Dhs41.25 million, and Al Suq Al Kabeer area, Dhs19 million.
The biggest area sold was the 402200 sq ft in the Jabal Ali Industrial area, which went for Dhs70 million. A 160000 sq ft plot in the Al Ruwayyah Area was acquired for Dhs2.82 million, while 42615.32 sq ft of Nad Al Shiba was disposed of for Dhs8.31 million.
During the period under review 16 mortgages worth Dhs116.61 million were registered, the most significant of which as the Dhs40 million for an area at Jabal Ali Industrial. There was another for Dhs30 million on an area in Al Mamzer and a further sum of Dhs30 million registered on an area of land sold in Naif.
