The opening of a mega-store in Abu Dhabi Marina Breakwater, an 89,000 square foot Home Centre, was recently announced by the Dubai-based Home Centre LLC, the region's furniture retailing major.
The new outlet will be will be Home Centre store in Abu Dhabi Marina Breakwater, according to Khaleej Times. The grand opening marks the company's tenth store in the UAE, following the opening of the ninth store a few weeks ago at Al Ain's Jimi Mall.
The store is expected poised to cater to the increasing demand for home furniture and accessories, which are in great demand in the region as the real estate market booms and disposable incomes swell on the back of heightened oil prices. The Home Centre Abu Dhabi Marina features a wide range of furniture styles, including garden furniture, kitchenware, bedroom, living room and dining room furniture.
"Abu Dhabi's vibrant economy coupled with the elegant lifestyle of its resident population presents immense potential for Home Centre,” said Deepak Goyal, Senior Marketing Manager of Home Centre.
“Having established a base in the capital city with a store at Umm Al Nar Street, we are expecting a record expansion in our market share through the new store," he added.
The new store is built along the lines of its flagship store in the Mall of the Emirates, complete with a customer-friendly retail format.
