Larsen and Toubro, India's largest engineering conglomorate, is targeting Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states as part of its strategy to realign itself, from an India-centric company to a region-centric multinational.
The drive to secure GCC market share will accelerate at next month's Chemtex and Corrosion Middle East – the region's only international exhibition for the chemical, petrochemical, chemical process technology, corrosion control and management industries - when the company showcases its engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) project skills and experience.
Major Larsen and Toubro projects already being executed in the region and Africa include sulphur revamp units for the Kuwait National Petroleum Company, a power plant in Salalah, southern Oman, and an offshore/onshore oil/gas production facility in Tanzania.
In addition to its manufacturing workshops, Larsen and Toubro has a large modular fabrication facility, capable of producing and assembling ultra big structures, including offshore platforms, oil and gas processing skids, such as desalter packages, oil and gas separators, compressor modules and valve assemblies. — (menareport.com)
