The Bahrain Convention & Exhibition Bureau, Media Generation Limited, United Kingdom and Pinnacle Communications W.L.L. have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to form a Project Joint Venture for the purpose to jointly organize an annual event in Bahrain for the promotion of Motorsport and Automobile activities in Bahrain and the surrounding region.
The name of the event will be Bahrain International Motorsport & Automobile Show and the duration of the initial term for the joint venture is for a period of six annual events to be held during the years 2004 to 2009.
The Bahrain International Motorsport & Automobile Show will be held concurrently with the Bahrain Formula One Grand Prix to capitalize from the business opportunities presented by this event and to differentiate BIMAS from any other Automobile event held in the region.
The first event has been tentatively scheduled for April 1-4, 2004, to coincide with the first Bahrain Formula One Grand Prix event subject to official confirmation. The show will be held at the Bahrain International Exhibition Center and will promote Motorsport and Automobile activities together with road and vehicles safety in the region as well as trade in Automobiles, Automotive, Accessories, Spare Parts, Garage Equipment and Supplies to the local and regional automobile community. — (menareport.com)
