Trade between the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Lebanon, which reached three billion Emirati dirhams ($816 million) last year, can grow further, according to the president of the Lebanese Business Council (LBC), Adnan Kaddaha
The President said that one of the principal goals of the Council was to promote trade between the two nations, as well as promote direct investment. He said: “Trade between Lebanon and the UAE has grown 175 times in less than 20 years, with almost a third of last year's figure of three billion dirhams attributed to the value of exports and re-exports between Dubai and Lebanon. That growth has been mirrored in the tourism industry, where in-bound visitors to Dubai from Lebanon have trebled in the last decade.”
LBC, a non-profit-making organization, was established in 1997 to facilitate and increase business between Dubai and Lebanon through trade visits. Established in 1997, LBC is a non-profit organization, designed to provide a platform for the Lebanese business community in Dubai and the Northern Emirates to interact and strengthen the business and social relations of its members. — (menareport.com)
