The international jewelry company, Cartier, has decided to open its regional headquarters in the Dubai International Airport, following a recent agreement with the Free Zone Authority.
According to a recent report in Al-Ittihad, prior to signing the agreement, a delegation from Cartier had visited and monitored the free zone. There they met with the Chairman of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al-Maktoum and the Director General of the Free Zone, Mohammed Zaraouni.
Dubai seems to be a magnet for international companies looking for a suitable place to set up headquarters in the region. An additional such move was recently reported in Al-Hayat, when Baharat Biotic, a leading Indian antibiotics manufacturing company, announced that it intends to open its regional headquarters in Dubai.
Sources at Baharat Biotic, considered the largest company of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere, asserted that they believe such a move would enable the company to penetrate more easily into the worldwide markets. This company, which produces advanced antibiotic products, presently controls 19 percent of the Indian market. –(Albawaba-MEBG)
