Lebanese MPs request finances to develop Ba’albek area

A number of Lebanese parliament members representing the Bekaa and Ba’albek areas recently submitted a request to amend the 2001 public budget law, reports Assafir daily.  

 

The parliament members, Mohamed Barjawi, Marwan Fares, Hussein Haj Hassan, Masoud Hujairy, Amar Musawy, Mohammed Yaghi, Nader Sukar, Asem Qansoh and Ghazi Zuaeiter, demanded 300 billion Lebanese pounds ($198 million) over the next four years to develop the Ba’albek-Harmel area.  

 

These parliamentarians are seeking the immediate implementation of previously prepared development plans for this area. –(MENA Report)
