A Lebanese ski resort has come up with a novel way of increasing occupancy at the site ¯ particularly during the slower mid-week period. It is appealing to conference organizers, trying to convince them to schedule their events in a new 110-seat auditorium, against one of the most spectacular mountain backdrops Lebanon can provide.

The facility is operated by the Mzaar Inter-Continental Resort, and to date it already has organized a number of conferences. For that purpose, it also offers simultaneous translation facilities, DVD and VCR players, and an LCD projector with a 3x4-meter screen.

"We are constantly looking to add to our existing facilities, and our new spa and cinema will offer many recreational options for event organizers, business and leisure travelers, as well as non-residents," said the hotel’s general manager, Franz Rattenstetter, as quoted by Gulf News

Located in Mzaar 2000 ski complex, about an hour's drive from Beirut, the 93-room facility includes a shopping mall, four restaurants, an outdoor and indoor swimming pool and stables. It will also inaugurate a health spa and a 100-seat cinema. Its banqueting amenities are able to cater for gala dinners, cocktail parties, meetings and trade exhibitions. It’s business center offers a full range of services. ¯ (Albawaba-MEBG)
