Lebanese information technology (IT) company, Computel, recently decided to open an Information Security Division. The new spin-off company called Secor will be headquartered in Beirut, with a branch office to soon open in Dubai Internet City (DIC), stated a press release.
“Facing the challenge of expanding beyond the Lebanese market, and faced with the high potential for a specialized IT Security Company in the Middle East, Computel took the decision to spin-off its IT Security Division, and all the team, customers and suppliers portfolio were totally transferred to Secor,” said Secor Managing Partner Jihad Chelala.
Established in 1974, Computel is an IT, intranet solutions and network security provider. The company has two branch offices and a showroom in Lebanon and maintains a network of partners throughout the Middle East region. — (menareport.com)
