The Lebanese Treasury Ministry announced that the government will launch a common income tax in 2003. Addressing the Financial Markets Summit organized by the Arab Monetary Fund, the IMF and the Central Bank of Lebanon, the Lebanese Minister of Treasury, Fouad Saniora, urged Lebanon to implement a series of integrated measures in order to enable the national economy to catch up with recent international changes.
