Lebanon PM to visit France on Friday
Prime Minister Rafiq Hariri is to travel on Friday to Paris for a meeting with French President Jacques Chirac; a Lebanese official source said Monday, December 3. The visit, due to last until Sunday, comes as Lebanon is due to sign an agreement with the European Union.
During a visit to Lebanon on November 19, European Commission President Romano Prodi said Lebanon and the EU would sign the partnership agreement within two weeks in Brussels. Hariri last met Chirac on November 9 in Paris. — (AFP, Beirut)
