Electrical accessories manufacturer, Legrand, will host its annual export meet in the Middle East. Limoges-headquartered Legrand has selected Dubai as the venue for New Horizons 2003 because of its progressive business environment.
The Legrand group's turnover in the Middle East for the year 2001 was $70 million, with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) accounting for 15 percent.
The aim of the exhibition and conference is to introduce Legrand's new product ranges for 2003. Among the products to be showcased at the upcoming event are Legrand's new ranges of air circuit breakers, the VDI new Cat. 6, Omizzy – Legrand's smart home system that allows the owner remote control of the house and the company's DLP trunking systems.
The exhibition will be held on January 21 at Jumeirah Beach Hotel, Dubai, and will be followed immediately by conferences at the same venue. In internal meetings held over the five days Legrand delegates, including marketing and product development managers, will discuss the company's sales achievements of the year 2002 and targets for the current year.
Legrand has a 25-year history in the Middle East and opened its first Gulf office in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia in 1981. The company, which works regionally through agents or authorized distributors, in 1996, established its Dubai office in Jebel Ali Free Zone. Legrand has since experienced an annual growth of 20 to 25 percent in the Dubai market. — (menareport.com)
