Global digital leader LG Electronics today confirmed that it had won orders totally valued at Dhs20 million for outfitting over 360 villas in the ambitious Jumeirah Golf Estates project in Dubai.
An agreement to this effect was signed this week between LG Electronics, MEP Star, the main MEP contractor for the project, and Fortune International Trading, distributors for LG commercial air-conditioners in the UAE. The first order – valued at US$2 million – is a significant win for LG and represents the single-largest order in this segment.
As per the contract, LG will outfit over 360 luxury freehold villas in the prestigious Jumeirah Golf Estates with their Multi Power Systems (MPS) – 180 villas in the first phase (Whispering Pines) and a similar number in the second phase. The project is being facilitated by main contractor Al Naboodah Laing O’Rourke.
The agreement was signed by Mr. H.S. Paik, President of LG Electronics Gulf FZE, Mr. Adam Wade, Director of MEP Star LLC, and Mr. Samer Baassiri, Executive Director of Fortune International Trading.

Mr. Adam Wade said that the Jumeirah Golf Estate was one of the most prestigious projects and required total commitment from everyone involved. “Due to the scale of the project, we want to partner with nothing but the best in the business. Whispering Pines is a distinctive gated community of designer villas offering commanding views over the Fire and Earth golf courses at the Jumeirah Golf Estates. The Tuscan-inspired villas, with authentic stone facades and terracotta tiled pitched roofs, enjoy extensive, fully landscaped gardens and aesthetically designed swimming pools.
