The British Lotus Group has reportedly expressed interest in cooperating with Iranian automakers, seeking to provide them with engine and gearbox technology, following a visit by the group’s marketing and business development director, Ian Gardner, to several Iranian auto plants. Gardner disclosed that Lotus is also interested in attaining a concession to manufacture gas combustion systems, following Iranian moves to replace petrol with gas.
The Lotus Group specializes in designing and manufacturing high performance sports cars. Their product line includes the Esprit, Elise and GT3. The Lotus is a General Motors Corporation product. — (menareport.com)
