In an attempt to increase its workforce significantly by 2007, UAE real estate developer Dubai Properties recently launched a three-part project which includes training local UAE nationals in intensive training programs.

The recruitment drive will target recent UAE graduates for its leadership drive, in the hope of increasing the number of Dubai Properties workers to some 1,500, according to Gulf News. Currently, say the firm’s spokesmen, an average of 30 new employees are recruited monthly. Such employees include both UAE nationals and non-nationals. The company, launched in 2005, had only 82 employees.

Company representatives state that that intended to both increase the intake of UAE nationals into the property business as well as improving the management skills of senior personnel in the firm.

“Dubai Properties’ human resources initiatives are designed to foster the growth of an indigenous workforce within the organization,” stated Yaqoob Al Zarooni, Executive Director of Corporate Planning & Performance for Dubai Properties.

The move by Dubai Properties comes in the wake of surging economic growth and a mushrooming real estate and property market across the United Arab Emirates and in Dubai in particular.

The firm boasts an impressive portfolio including the Jumeirah Beach Residence, Business Bay, the region’s business capital and The Villas at Dubailand.
