In charge of food and beverage operations at the new 154-room Safir Deira hotel is Irish national Anthony Smiddy, who moves to Dubai from the Swissotel, Boston where he was director of restaurants. Heading up the sales and marketing department at the Safir Deira is Wael El Behi, hailing from Tunisia.
Safir Hotels is a Kuwait-based hotel management company with 32 properties in the Middle East and North Africa.
