The Manama-based Mohammed Jalal & Sons (MJ&S) has won the Diplomat Radisson Hotel refurbishment contract. The refurbishment project will commence on June 1 and will and run through January next year with 12 of the hotel's 13 floors undergoing complete renovation, stated a press release.
Under the agreement, the main renovation work on Bahrain’s Diplomat Radisson Hotel will be carried out by MJ&S' subsidiary Kontra Construction, while interior design will be carried out by Muscat-based Zubair Furnishing Company.
"The overhaul will also include a total of 226 rooms and 20 suites as well as the refurbishment of the hotel's food and beverage outlets where half a million Bahraini dinars will be invested," said General Manager of Diplomat Radisson, Heimo Leitgeb.
Renovations will also include the installation of a BMS system, which will reduce power consumption in the rooms in addition to Internet access and equipment for suites set aside for business guests.
Other Radisson Hotels in the Middle East hotels are located in Amman, Aqaba, Baku, Istanbul, Kuwait, Muscat and Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt. Three more Egyptian properties in Taba, Hurghada and Al Quesir are due on line soon. — (menareport.com)
