A joint venture between Singapore’s Low Keng Huat Company and the Middle East’s CAT Group (CAT/LKH) won Beirut’s Marina Tenders tender. The $200 million development will consist of a 26-storey high rise and two low rises of nine floors each, surrounded by a 3,000 square meter garden.

“The construction cost of the three buildings, including the enabling works will amount to $75 million. Construction will start mid-June and will be completed in 27 months,” said General Manager of Marina Towers, Farouk Kamal.

LKH specializes in high rise construction and CAT is the first international contractor from the Middle East to participate in the early beginnings of the development of the Gulf region. The group is involved in the construction of oil and gas refining, transport and storage facilities and mechanical installations and in heavy civil engineering from buildings to water and infrastructure across the Middle East and Africa. — (menareport.com)
