As part of its strategy to expand in the GCC and to export its new corporate identity to the region, Mashreq today unveils its new corporate identity at the opening of its branch in King Faisal Road, Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry Building. The unveiling represents a significant milestone in the bank’s history opening in the financial hub of the Middle East.

“We are changing while we are at the height of our performance, to make sure we maintain our market leadership” said Abdul Aziz Al Ghurair, CEO – Mashreq. “We are opening the way to a new level of modern banking in an increasingly competitive market environment. Our focus is on meeting and exceeding our customer needs, ensuring that we deliver financial reward, convenience and ultimately peace of mind in this fast evolving sector.”

Extending its branch network to Kingdom of Bahrain comes as a direct result of the bank’s expansion strategy in the region. At the ceremony, Mr Nabeel Malik, Retail Banking Group in Mashreq commented: “We are extremely pleased to announce the launch of our new premises in such a strategic and vibrant location and we look forward to providing our Bahrain-based customers with the latest products and services and the utmost in advanced technology. With a combination of regional expertise and local intimacy, Mashreq is well positioned to meet its clients’ demands in a way that well achieves their business goals.”

Spanning more than 500 square metres, the new branch in Manama will offer the latest array of innovative financial solutions including personalised services from a team of highly qualified Bahraini relationship managers. Open from 8am to 3pm, the branch is equipped with a 24/7 electronic banking zone allowing customers to carry out a full range of banking transactions with greater convenience.

“The layout of the branch has been designed to appeal to the tastes of local customers, offering easier accessibility and increased efficiency. We will continue to ensure that the most comprehensive banking facilities and packages are within easy reach of all our customers as we continue to cement our position as one of the leading financial institutions in Bahrain and throughout the region,” concluded Mr. Yousif Al Essa, Bahrain Regional Country Manager, Mashreq.

The unveiling of the new logo follows a rigorous three-year programme to evolve and re-define the Mashreq brand. This included understanding the market and customer needs through in-depth market research, listening to employees’ feedback and strategically mapping the new brand direction with overall business goals and objectives.

As part of changing the corporate image, the graphic design of all the bank’s forms and information materials will change, just as the internal and external appearance of the Kingdom of Bahrain branch will be transformed.
