More than 100 members from the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Egypt and Lebanon participated in the first MasterCard University course presented in Middle East Africa in 2002. The debit operations program is aimed at helping MasterCard members across the globe understand best business practices and how they can apply them locally.

The course was well received by the members and paves the way for a series of new courses that will run across the region, covering a range of card payment industry areas during 2002. MasterCard University provides a unique benefit to member financial institutions as it enables their staff to keep up-to-date with the very latest technology and innovations taking place in the card payment industry from the MasterCard’s team of experts.

MasterCard International has a comprehensive portfolio of well-known, widely accepted payment brands including MasterCard, Cirrus(R) and Maestro(R). More than 1.7 billion MasterCard, Cirrus and Maestro logos are present on credit, charge and debit cards in circulation today. — (menareport.com)
