Maxtor Corporation announced that it has agreed with Tech Data to step up Maxtor distribution activities in the region, as an extension of the two companies' global agreement. This agreement comes on the back of a record sales growth for Maxtor by Tech Data in the US and Europe, and aims at adding value to the channel by focusing on margins and the supply chain.
Maxtor Corporation is a provider of hard disk drives and storage solutions. The company supplies storage solutions that include hard disk drives for desktop PC, high-end server, consumer electronics and external applications; as well as workgroup and enterprise-class network attached storage (NAS) server appliances.
Tech Data Corporation was founded in 1974 and deals with information technology logistics management and other value-added services. The company and its subsidiaries serve more than 100,000 technology resellers in the United States, Canada, the Caribbean, Latin America, Europe and the Middle East. Tech Data's service offering includes pre- and post-sale training and technical support, financing options and configuration services as well as a full range of electronic commerce solutions.
