A total of BD300 million housing project will be built on a reclaimed plot of land in the sea between Muharraq and Amwaj Islands.
According to the Bahrain Tribune, the project is one of the kingdom’s biggest housing projects after the Northern Island. It will offer 16,000 units for about 90,000 people. The project will be set up near the causeway linking Amwaj Islands to the Shaikh Khalifa Bridge in Hidd.
The project will begin after completing a housing project of 3500 units on plot area of 51 hectares that was recently donated by his majesty the King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the newspaper reported.
