Multilateral negotiations between Algeria and the World Trade Organisation (WTO) will be closed next fall, Algeria's Trade Minister Noureddine Boukrouh said. "Conditions are almost met for a definitive adhesion agreement to the WTO following last June negotiations which have led to the conclusion of agreements with 21 out of 22 countries with which Algeria is permanently negotiating", the Minister stated, adding that "we are in the formalisation round which will be transformed into a factual report and then in an accession document".
According to APS, Boukrouh noted that Algeria has launched an operation to set up an apparatus for fighting against any economic crime and strengthening the control in the economy field.
He mentioned in this regard the AD2 billion paid by the Government for the establishment of the national agency for health protection and food security, for "fighting against the informal sector which has increased alarmingly." (menareport.com)
