Under the patronage of Princess Basma Bint Talal, MobileCom signed a nine year agreement of cooperation with the Jordanian Hashemite Fund for Human Development (JOHUD) on to provide financial assistance in support to the Good Will Campaign provided to underprivileged communities throughout the Kingdom to help these communities establish economic self-sufficiency through micro project financing.
“Our commitment to support JOHUD in its efforts is based on our belief that we, as a Jordanian company, have a responsibility to the community which we are a part of,” said Jean-Christophe Caillat, CEO of MobileCom.
MobileCom’s relationship with JOHUD started from its role in the Good Will Campaign during the holy month of Ramadan 2001. Building on this relationship MobileCom is now partnering with JOHUD to provide support to finance micro-projects throughout the Kingdom aimed at creating income-generating micro-businesses in farming, agriculture and other ventures identified by JOHUD and supported by a network of over 50 JOHUD community development centers throughout the Kingdom.
MobileCom is the Jordanian public mobile telephone network operator, and is the operator of the mobile communications license granted to Jordan Telecom. MobileCom is a member of the Jordan Telecom Group that also includes e-Dimensions and Global One. — (menareport.com)
