MobileCom announced that its has topped 30,000 customers in the three weeks after the launch of its national GSM service, a statement by MobileCom said on Sunday. “Our customer base topped 30,000 in the middle of last week and we continue to see the number of customers rising rapidly on a daily basis,” said Jean-Luc Vuillemin, CEO of MobileCom.
“This overwhelming demand for MobileCom lines and handsets is driven by a large number of Jordanians who are experiencing GSM accessibility for the first time, causing us to increase our customer care teams by 50 persons to handle their requests.”
“We are receiving a steady flow of customers all day long,” said Walid Al-Hadidi, general manager of MobileCom distributor E-Company. “The tremendous demand is fuelled by MobileCom's competitive offers which are allowing customers who have never owned a mobile line to purchase one now. It has been a challenge for us to ensure that everyone is satisfied, but I personally think MobileCom could have many more customers by the end of the year.”
MobileCom has broken down the barriers to entry in the Jordanian market by providing competitive offers that match customer needs. Appeal for MobileCom's offers has touched on all segments of the public.
“We are constantly challenged to keep up with the market demand for MobileCom pre- and post-paid lines as well as MobileCom handsets which are selling at record speed. We are carefully monitoring our stocks of SIMs and handsets and placing refill orders more quickly to ensure that supplies last in the face of such a tremendous demand,” said Vuillemin.
Demand for MobileCom lines steadily continues as distributors and points of sales are working hard to meet demand at the shops and to handle the high volume the customer care division has recruited 50 new customer care professionals. — ( Jordan Times )
