Abu Dhabi Police fined 71 drivers over the past six months for filming accident sites.
An advisory was issued on Abu Dhabi Police's social media accounts, warning residents against filming accidents and posting or sharing them on social media.
Such actions will render offenders liable to legal prosecution.
Spectating at sites is a safety hazard which can hamper efficient movement of ambulatory services to and from the accident site.

Residents are also advised against parking their cars near accident sites and crossing the road on foot to spectate.
Police had earlier issued a warning, where obstructing or blocking roads during accidents will get you a fine of Dh1,000 in Abu Dhabi.
