Further top-line regional and international speakers have been confirmed for the first-ever Middle East Duty Free Association (MEDFA) Conference on December 16-17 in Dubai. Many of the region's leading retailers are giving presentations or joining panel discussions and the event will feature extensive use of video interviews conducted with the region's suppliers, distributors and retailers during the TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes.

Highlights include an exclusive filmed interview with Dubai's Head of Civil Aviation, Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al-Maktoum, in which he talks frankly about his bold vision for the future of travel and tourism, and a keynote address from Gerard Collins1, MEP, who is an expert on Middle East affairs.

The Saudi travel business, potentially so significant in duty free terms and yet frustratingly undeveloped, will be the subject of a high-level panel discussion featuring General Manager System Skysales, Shawgi Mushtag, Saudi Arabian Airlines and other prominent regional identities to be confirmed soon. — (menareport.com)
