In celebrating Bahrain’s second Formula One Grand Prix, MTC-Vodafone (Bahrain) has announced its second Grand Prix Scavenger Hunt which will commence at 1 PM on Friday, March 25th. Customers participating are led to secret locations by clues provided by MTC-Vodafone (Bahrain)’s SMS services. The top 10 winners of the MTC-Vodafone Grand Prix Scavenger Hunt will each get a Grandstand ticket to the Formula One Event being held in Bahrain between the 1st and the 3rd of April 2005. To find out more about the competition, MTC-Vodafone (Bahrain) customers are invited to click online via www.mtc-vodafone.com.bh or call customer care on 107.
Mohammed Al Hashili, Senior Product Development Marketing Manager at MTC-Vodafone (Bahrain) commented: “Building on last year’s F1 Scavenger Hunt success, we are inviting all our customers to come back and take part in the Grand Prix experience”.
“Free spirits are being invited to feel the rush of adrenaline and smell the unmistakable tang of hot rubber and high octane fuel by joining MTC-Vodafone as they support the Ferrari Formula One team as they compete in Bahrain’s second Formula One Grand Prix on April 3rd,” Al Hashili commented.
A number of competitions have been developed that will stretch customers imaginations and encourage them to have great fun at the same time. The Grand Prix Scavenger Hunt will lead customers across many of Bahrain’s rich tourist locations as they solve the clues.
The rules are simple: competitors need to know how to have fun, be willing to abide by the traffic laws of Bahrain, have a camera enabled mobile phone with SMS and MMS capabilities and be prepared to be challenged on their knowledge of local places.
"Participants will be asked to find 5 secret locations and go to the end point ‘The Ferrari Showroom (Euromotors) in Sitra’, as quickly as possible. Each of the 5 secret locations will be numbered and have clues that the participant must request by SMS," explained Al Hashili. "Just a quick tip; there are 10 clues for each secret location. Each time you send a message with the same location, you get another clue. The objective is to find the secret locations, take a photo of the location, then send the photo by MMS to the same short code that corresponds to the location to PROVE you were really there!"
To participate in the MTC-Vodafone (Bahrain)’s Second Scavenger Hunt, customers in Bahrain can register by sending an SMS with “F1” to 3333 or call MTC-Vodafone’s customer care on 107. ALL competitors MUST be registered and have collected a “Participant’s Pack”, which will be available at any of MTC-Vodafone's experience shops before taking part in the event.
MTC-Vodafone (Bahrain)’s experience shops are located across Bahrain: Exhibition Road, Manama, the arrivals lounge at Bahrain International Airport, Budaiya, Isa Town, Hamad Town, Arad, Rifaa and at the University of Bahrain (Sakhir Campus).
MTC-Vodafone strongly recommends that all competitors read the information pack in full together with the road and traffic safety leaflets provided courtesy of Bahrain’s Traffic Directorate.
