Egyptian exports from the Nasr Exporting and Importing Company to Syria, Sudan and a number of other African countries reached 38 million Egyptian pounds ($8.9 million) during the first nine months of 2001.
A company representative, Najwa Fakhr, said these exports were mainly composed of rice and sugar re-exports. During the same period, the Nasr Company imported EP 100 million worth of merchandise mainly in edible oils and livestock, reported Al-Gomhuria . — (menareport.com)
