US-based ANC Car Rental Corporation have recognized the Middle East as being a specific market and are currently developing their operations in the pan Arab region. National Car Rental is first with Alamo following wherever feasible.
Currently, the company has operations in Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Plans for 2003 include the completion of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries with the commencement of business in Saudi Arabia and Oman. Levant countries follow immediately in Egypt, Jordan and Syria.
