The National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) and the Environmental Research and Wildlife Development Agency (ERWDA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on environmental cooperation.

This MoU focuses on cooperation between the two organizations in working towards the environment and promoting sustainable development. NBAD and ERWDA recognize that conservation and protection of the Emirate's environment and resources are of utmost concern and are the responsibility of everyone in the UAE.

This pioneering MoU reflects discussions held between the two parties and seeks to formalize working arrangements to provide the basis for further cooperation.

NBAD is the first local bank to officially join hands with ERWDA through this MoU and hopes to serve as a role model for other financial institutions to follow. This MoU signifies the commitment on the part of NBAD to follow sound environmental principles thus aspiring to become the first 'Green Bank' in the country. It is hoped that other such organizations will follow suit. — (menareport.com)
