NEC Computers International (NEC CI), Europe's sixth largest manufacturer of personal computers, has announced Tuesday that Al Yousuf Computers LLC, NEC CI Authorised Reseller in the UAE, has also been appointed as the official NEC and Packard Bell service centre for the UAE with immediate effect.

This new appointment has been confirmed by interFRONTIERS Services Ltd, the Regional Business Development Unit for NEC and Packard Bell. Commenting on the new agreement, Lenia Iacovides, Managing Director, interFRONTIERS said: “NEC CI is once again showing its commitment to the region and this is only a first step.”

Under the new agreement, Al Yousuf will provide in-warranty services for all NEC and Packard Bell computer products, whilst also maintaining the capacity to provide assistance outside of the warranty period. By providing an extensive range of customer-oriented services, Al Yousuf technicians will be in a position to respond to all service requirements, including on-site help for NEC desktops and servers, and notebook services at Al Yousuf’s dedicated premises. A toll-free telephone number will also be established, allowing new customers throughout the UAE to communicate with the NEC CI service organization without cost.

Nicolas Pichon, Senior Manager International Services and Solutions at NEC Computers International added: “Appointing local service centres was the natural next step in supporting our customers in the UAE. The appointment of Al Yousuf Computer as a Service Center is only the beginning and we look forward to increase the range of services in the UAE as we believe this will further increase NEC CI’s penetration in the market.”

Mr. Suhail Zain El-Deen, Managing Director of Al Yousuf IT Companies, added: “Our appointment is great news for all concerned. We have an exceptional support infrastructure and with this appointment we will be able to quickly and efficiently manage any service and support requirements of our clientele.”

Al Yousuf entered the IT business in 1983 and has become a leading supplier of equipment and software solutions for end users and enterprises. Its success in IT has created a customer base of nearly 1000 business customers (50% outside UAE) and a network of associates, dealers, VARS and system integrators in 20 countries. The appointment is also in line with the strengthened relationship between the two companies. (menareport.com)
