Yemen has undertaken serious measures to improve its chances of being admitted to the Arab Gulf Cooperation Council (AGCC) following a recent approval of the country’s membership to certain bodies of the AGCC, reported Al-Hayat . Yemen is seeking full membership in the AGCC in the near future. The Yemeni cabinet appointed a special ministerial committee, including the Deputy Prime Minister and several others to design an effective plan that would accelerate Yemen’s accession to council. The committee will focus on boosting the development process in Yemen, which is a precondition for full membership in the AGCC. — (menareport.com)
