Saudi Minister of Agriculture Dr Fahd bin Abdul-Rahman Balghunaim signed Sunday with an Italian firm a contract for the establishment a flour mill at the branch of the General Organization for Grain Silos and Flour Mills in Hail region.
The contract worth SR 128,975,000 (about US$34 million) will be implemented within a period of 16 months.
Dr Balghunaim reiterated the keenness of the Saudi Government on making flour available for Saudi citizens and residents in Hail region. According to SPA, he added that the flour mill with a productive capacity of 600 tons of wheat per day, will manufacture more than six kinds of flour.
