Nokia to provide ECMS GPRS equipment

Egyptian Company for Mobile Services, ECMS, announced on February 15 that the company has signed an agreement with Nokia. 

 

Egyptian Company for Mobile Services ECMS announced on February 15 that the company has signed an agreement with Nokia Corp. The agreement requires Nokia to provide ECMS with equipment to support their General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) and Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) plans. 

 

Moreover, ECMS Chairman Osman Sultan announced that the company’s 2001 capital expenditure is expected to reach LE900 million, LE50 million higher than previously announced. — (Prime Securities S.A.E.)
