The Norwegian government has granted the Jordan on one million dollar grant for environmental and planning projects. Norway has already provided the Kingdom with $3.6 million in aid over the past three years for urban development, water, and information technology, reported Jordan Times.
The funds will be used to finance an analysis on the potential use of salt water in the Jordan Valley, a second environmental study and a Center for Excellence project at the Ministry of Planning (MoP).
Trade between Jordan and the Scandinavian countries remains minimal with the trade balance tilted towards Sweden's favor. The Jordanian-Scandinavia Business Club was set up in August 2000 to enhance trade ties and encourage investments between Jordan and Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland and Iceland. — (menareport.com)
