Norwegian Oil Minister Einar Steensnaes is scheduled to visit Saudi Arabia in mid-February to hold talks on the fluctuating oil market with his Saudi counterpart Ali Naimi, reported the Nordic Business Report.

Steensnaes was invited to Saudi Arabia following an earlier visit by Naimi to Norway in mid-November, a spokesperson for Norway's ministry of petroleum and energy stated.

Norway agreed in December to lower its oil output by 150,000 barrels per day (bpd) for six months, starting 1 January, in a joint effort with the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) to stabilize oil prices, Dow Jones reported. — (menareport.com)
