Norwegian industrial production excluding oil and gas, fell by 3.2 percent in August from 12 months earlier, figures published on Friday by the Norwegian Statistics Bureau (SSB) showed.
When petroleum production was included, the index showed an increase of one percent for August from the same month one year earlier, the SSB said.
For the first eight months of the year, industrial production excluding oil and gas dropped by 2.8 percent compared to the same period 12 months earlier, but it rose by 3.6 percent when hydrocarbons were figured in.
Norway is the second-biggest exporter of oil in the world after Saudi Arabia. - (AFP)
