President and CEO of Odyssey Resources Paul Matysek has reported that the company’s field programs in Turkey are progressing well. An update on Tavsan was recently released since which time trenching permit applications have been filed with the Turkish authorities.

At Altintepe, where Odyssey has already confirmed an existing gold resource, diamond drilling over the Seyliktepe and Karakis zones continues. Both zones form pronounced ridges due to their silicified cores, and drilling is testing them both from the top down. Results will be released as this program progresses.

In Eastern Anatolia, two Odyssey crews are currently in the field, assessing numerous prospective copper-gold porphyry target areas in accordance with the company's joint venture agreement with BHP Billiton. Several of the areas recently inspected by Odyssey geologists were observed to host porphyrytic intrusive rocks, copper mineralization and/or stream sediment anomalies, and hydrothermally-altered rocks typical of the porphyry setting. Acquisitions will follow, pending completion of this program. — (menareport.com)
