Oman Gears Up Public for VAT Seminars

The Oman American Business Center (OABC) in collaboration with Ernst & Young (EY) will be hosting a value added tax (VAT) seminar to discuss the changes in the tax law and help prepare companies to be VAT-ready.

To be held on September 10 at the InterContinental Muscat, the session is open to the public including residents, business people and SME owners. The seminar will provide attendees with helpful insight, information and answers to key questions, a press release said.

Alkesh Joshi, partner - business tax advisory services at EY Oman, is one of the speakers at the seminar.

The seminar will prepare participants to better understand how the new tax will impact multiple business functions within organisations, the importance of starting preparations early, and how they can make provisions for the change.
