Sultan Qaboos on Sunday, June 10, named Hamad Bin Mohammad Al-Rashidi as information minister, in the Omani government's second reshuffle in under a month.
Rashidi replaces Abdel Aziz Bin Mohammad Al-Rawas, who was appointed the sultan's adviser on cultural affairs under the decree issued by Oman's ruler, the official news agency ONA reported.
On May 14, Sultan Qaboos also reshuffled his government, creating new ministries by merging several portfolios. ― (AFP, Muscat)
